The Lady Ironmen head to North Ridgeville to face Lake Ridge Academy for the opportunity to keep their winning streak alive with a tenth win in a row.
In the beginning of the game, Central had to get a feel of how Lake Ridge would play against them. There were some turnovers and missed assignments on defense. That led to a 24 to 17 first half score for the Lady Ironmen.
Figuring out their errors, Central’s stingy defense kept the Lady Royals to only 14 points in the second half. This gave the Lady Ironmen quick fast break points and a 54 to 31 point win over the Lady Royals. Chantel Barnett had the team’s high in points and her first 30 point game of the season.
The Lady Ironmen have kept the winning streak going as it grows to 10. Their next game is a conference game against Lake Catholic in Mentor on Saturday, February 1st.
