The last game of the regular season for the Lady Ironmen came against the Beaumont Blue Streaks. The winners of this game would win North Coast League – White Division Championship.

Throughout the whole game both teams competed hard. No real team was able to get an advantage through the first half. The Lady Ironmen were down by 1 going into the third quarter.

Beaumont went into the third quarter determined to shoot their way to a win but Central Catholic held their ground and stayed within scoring reach to stay competitive in the game.

Central fought back in the fourth quarter to keep Beaumont from getting away with the game. Chantel Barnett’s steal and go ahead layup under 30 seconds put the Lady Ironmen up 58 to 57. However, the Blue Streaks were able to score inside over good defense and took the game away from the Lady Ironmen.

A tough loss to what was a great season by the Lady Ironmen (16 – 6) but now they can focus on the playoffs. They are the three seed and will face the winner of the Kenston and Orange matchup for their first playoff game on February 20th.
